This project will bring objects together from across Oxfordshire in an exhibition at The Oxfordshire Museum, to open in June, and working with members of the community we will produce a complimentary exhibition at the Museum of Oxford, opening in March. The topic of both exhibitions will be headwear and footwear that was used or made in Oxfordshire. From these objects various themes will be used to create the displays. We will share our research by creating a website to accompany the exhibitions.
Through this project staff from museums and collections across the county will be able to network and collaborate. We will also be arranging a series of training sessions for staff which will relate to the topic or to exhibitions in general.
